The only constant is change
As you, the loyal readers of Distorted know, things have been fairly all over the place for a good few months now. We opted to bring you a more traditional website instead of the digital magazine that we put out on a monthly basis. Now comes possibly the biggest change in the history of Distorted – myself and Nikola will be passing ‘our baby’ onto Steve Noble.
The change of hands doesn’t mean that we love Distorted and the punk scene any less – in fact we love the scene so much that we opted to ensure that Distorted continues instead of just letting it die. Steve is the perfect person to keep this punk rocking machine running – Steve has supported us in so many ways, both with Distorted and as a friend and we know he is going to take Distorted to the next level.
The decision to move away from Distorted wasn’t easy, it’s difficult to walk away from something that you’re so close to, something you created, nurtured, grown, it’s a tough call – we spent weeks wrestling with the decision.
You got to do what you got to do – and do it your own way.
From myself and Nikola, we would like to thank all those who supported us personaly and who have always showed Distorted love. I’m not going to start naming people (in fear that I forget people, besides you know if you need to be thanked or not, ha ha) – To all the bands around the world, all the contributors (find their names on the pages on the digital mags), the labels, the PR agencies, the organisers , our friends and of course you, the readers – thank you so much for everything, it has been an amazing 3 years.
We hope to contribute to Distorted as and when time allows but for now we will be looking after our little family and enjoying the music.
If you would like to stay in touch, you will be able to find me over at pixeldeath.com and hopefully I’ll see you at a few shows in the future.
_Cerven Cotter
PS. All editor email enquiries will now be picked up by Steve.
PSS. Things will be a little all over the place as we complete the handover, so hang in there.
