Punk will never die, it evolves, much like Distorted

...and neither is Distorted
Not sure where to start with this announcement but I’m guessing the beginning is always the best place. As a valued reader of Distorted I am sure you’ve noticed how things have slowly been unravelling at the seams… The last few months have been incredibly tough on all of us here at Distorted and despite our valiant efforts to keep this frieght train moving forward, we’ve dropped the ball on a few things and for that I apologise. While Distorted is a passion for us – we have had new challenges to tackle that came with, the birth of the lil punk rocker, our son. As any of you know, all other priorities seem meaningless when it comes to your family’s needs… If you don’t have kids, one day you’ll understand where I am coming from.
Where to now?
Distorted will continue to bring you great features and interviews and other information from the world of punk rock – we will just be putting the actual digital magazine on hiatus for now. All the content you’ve come to expect and enjoy in the mag will now be on the website. Updates will be on a regular basis but not on the usual monthly cycle. The idea is to give you the most upto date interviews, reviews and news as they happen. I would highly recommend adding yourself to our RSS email update list – this will send you instant updates from the site straight to your inbox. Alternatively please subscribe to the actual RSS feed with your favouite feed reader.
If you’re on Twitter.com, be sure to follow us (@distortedmag) for instant updates and other interesting punk rock nuggets.
For those of you who would like to view the older issues of the magazine – we will keep them archived so you will be able to browse through them anytime you wish.
Bugs
I’m sure you noticed that the site got an overhaul recently – we are still in a beta phase ironing out bugs, tweaking the design, trying new things etc – please let me know what problems you have – if any via the comments below. Thank you to those of you how have already sent through your feedback and suggestions.
Thank you!
I would also like to take this time to send out a HUGE thank you to all of you; readers, fans, bands, contributors, labels, agencies and friends, who have always stood by us and believe in and share the same passion for Distorted and punk rock – you know who you are. Thanks for all your help, emails, messages and the drinks at the shows. It is because of people like you that Distorted is what it is today and will continue to grow in the years to come. Thank you.
Look forward to hearing from you via the comments on the site – let me go and get some new updates sorted for your reading pleasure.
PS. Oh yeah, we’ve extended our CD giveaway, due to issues with the site – so be sure to enter today.
