Steve: Since we last spoke you signed to Hellcat, how’s life under the new label going?

Sarah:  Well we have been to the USA for an official release tour for “Run For Your Life” and it went great.  We got to swing by the Epitaph office in Hollywood and meet all the peeps there.  It has been really great!  There is a lot of doors opening for us in the USA and other places because of Hellcat and we are really excited for a new record and a new year!

Steve: Do you plan to record new material this year?

Sarah:  Ha, speak of the devil.  Yes we do.  We have plans to record in May/June.  It’s always a struggle to tie us four down in to the recording studio because all we want to do is tour.  But we know it’s well over due.

Steve: What ambitions/plans have you laid out for the coming year?

Sarah:  Touring touring touring, writing and recording, waiting, touring touring touring touring….the world!

Steve: Did you have a most memorable gig/music moment of 2009?

Sarah:  I think we all had a really great time on the ‘Stomp’  tour we did recently across Canada.  It was the first time we toured Canada with 2 other Canadian bands and it was a really fun time!  I really love being on the road with other bands because it means you have other people to hang out with everyday that are not your stupid band members…ha, kidding guys!  It’s nice to be around people that understand what you do.

Steve: I see you are heading to Australia and Japan soon, is this the first time you have been out that way? What’s the most exotic place you have played/would like to play?

Sarah:  Yeah it is our first time!  We are very much looking forward to Australia and Japan.  We have started a touring schedule that avoids cold places in the winter.  ha.  From now on you will notice that every winter tour we do will head straight south/west, or to a country that is hot during those cold months here in Canada.  Japan will be a real eye opener I think.  Our bass player Sean has been there and keeps telling us how unbelievable it is.  I can’t wait for this year!  The most exotic place…um…Russia.  We got to go to Russia in August and it was amazing!

Steve: How would you say rockabilly and psycho are faring at the moment, what bands would you suggest we keep an eye out for?

Sarah:  Our bass player would be better to answer this.  I actually don’t listen to much psychobilly.  I like rockabilly tho.  Right now I am obsessed with Aerosmith and Dragon Force…haha.

Steve: Which bands have you been most impressed with in the past ten years or seen as an influence?

Sarah:   Wow,  that’s a HUGE question.  Again, Aerosmith.  I like  A LOT of stuff so I could go on for days.  I always found this question kind of weird anyway.  Because influences change ALL the time.  I don’t really have one specific person or band that I am most influenced by.  It changes all the time.

Steve: Sum up 2009 in 5 words.

Sarah:  BEST YEAR OF MY LIFE.

Steve: Ideally, where do you hope to see yourself this time next year?

Sarah:  I hope to see myself in the same happy mindframe, and with a lot more tours under my belt, two new records (one CREEPSHOW one SOLO).  I hope to see good things happen to all my friends and family.  I hope to see myself always getting better as a musician and meeting amazing people all over the world.  I also hope to see myself continuing to be cigarette free!  Ha.  I quit smoking so I hope it lasts.

Steve: What were your favorite records of 2009?

Sarah:  Rancid / The Mighty Stef / those are the only records I bought this year…haha.
