Big Hand release anti BNP song- Available May 3rd

Big Hand
Scottish skankers Big Hand are releasing a anti-BNP anthem “Rock The Boat” available from 3 May – with all proceeds going to Love Music Hate Racism The band are also selling “Nick Griffin is a W*nker” T-Shirt which is on sale.
In the light of the BNP’s success in June’s European Elections it became a harsh reality that the ugly face of fascism was creeping back into British politics. This was something that shook the members of Scotch-London ska mashup band Big Hand to the point of making them feel nauseous.
Never a lyrically political band despite their free thinking attitude, the band decided enough was enough. “Rock The Boat” was penned by Big Hand songwriter Tim Lomas the day after discovering Nick Griffin”s party had won two seats in Europe. The rest of the band also rallied behind the cause and an anti-BNP anthem was born.
The offbeat quartet now need your help. Big Hand have allied themselves with Love Music Hate Racism to produce the “Nick Griffin Is A W*nker” T-shirt. All of the proceeds from sales of the T-Shirt are being put towards recording and making a video for “Rock The Boat”. The proceeds from the sale of this song will in turn all be donated to Love Music Hate Racism.
In the words of a great mind: “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing”.
We have seen the effects of apathy in the face of the far right throughout history.
We all know in our hearts that fascism is not the way forward.
Big Hand encourage you to “Rock The Boat”, join our campaign and let the nation know that the BNP do not represent a way of life that we in the UK are willing to accept.
Big Hand “Rock The Boat” available from Monday 3 May via iTunes, Amazon, Napster, Nokia etc.
