Drewvis to release new record titled “Disposable Pleasures, and Meaningful Pursuits”

News

UK (Brighton) based ska/reggae Singer-Songwriter Drew ‘Drewvis’ Bristow has announced some details on his upcoming full length record.

It’s been close to 2 years now since the release of ‘For The Win’, and I’m happy to announce my first official full length album is nearing completion!

After various title changes, I have finally settled on an appropriate title for the album: ‘Disposable Pleasures, and Meaningful Pursuits’ (any Bond fans out there will recognise the saying)

This album is almost like a story of my life, and things I’ve seen, or have experienced over the past few years.

I had originally planned to release it as another 8 track mini album called ‘Onwards, Upwards’ with a separate E.P called ‘The Revolutionary Failings of Drew Bristow’, but after listening to all of the tracks it made more sense to paint a fuller picture of the story by combining the two.

I’d like to think the new album has a little bit of something for everyone, with a few tracks in a similar style to the upbeat songs on ‘For The Win’, and some new influences coming through, with the usual bit of Reggae, a bit of Pop, (even some pop-punk influence coming through) a little bit of dark and light and a lot of the typical Drewvis charisma!

The track list (no particular order):

‘Liberate, Never Hate’
‘It’s All Good’
‘Short Measures’
‘iWant’
‘One Moment’
‘Let It Go’
‘Fortune Cookie’
‘Drunken Words n’ Dub’
‘Estoy Esperando’ (featuring Amanda Bes)
‘Do One!’
‘Purple’
‘These 3 Words’
‘Therapy’

Paul ‘Pablo’ Mason has worked on bass with some tracks including drums and percussion by Seb Laverde of the band Chuckin. It was unconfirmed whether the album will be released through his own label which is being considered
