Jimmy The Squirrel release full length debut album “Whatever The Weather”
Do The Dog Music has released theĀ full length debut album by fast rising UK outfit Jimmy The Squirrel titled “Whatever The Weather”!
Jimmy The Squirrel are a young five piece band from Nottingham. Following the release of their debut self titled CD EP on Do The Dog Music in May 2008 they have been gigging hard across the UK for the last couple of years playing shows with the likes of Pama International, Sonic Boom Six, The Slackers, Dirty Revolution, Chris Murray, The Skints, Mouthwash, Smoke Like A Fish & many more along the way!
Their debut full length album, “Whatever The Weather”, is a scorching 10 song masterpiece, chockfull of wonderfully soulful, heartfelt vocals & a superb mix of fast paced, upbeat keyboard driven 2 tone & more mellow ska/reggae rhythms that looks set to really establish the band as a major force on the UK ska scene & beyond! Fans of socially conscious ska in the mould of The Hotknives, The Specials, Chris Murray or The King Blues should snatch up this excellent disc without delay!
