Prior to her support slot as Green Day’s very special guest on their forthcoming June European stadium tour, Joan Jett, founding member of the iconic all-girl rock and roll band The Runaways, and guitarist and singer with the Blackhearts, will perform an intimate concert with her band The Blackhearts at London’s legendary punk rock music venue “The 100 Club” on Monday June 14th.
This will be Joan Jett and The Blackhearts first intimate club date in the UK in twenty years. Fans will be able to experience the music of one of rock music’s best loved icons known for her milestone rock anthems ‘I Love Rock N’ Roll’, ‘Crimson and Clover’, ‘Bad Reputation’, ‘Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)’, ‘Light of Day’, ‘Love Is Pain’, and the seminal Runaways rock anthem ‘Cherry Bomb’.
The 100 Club concert dovetails the forthcoming UK August cinema release of the Runaways biopic “The Runaways” starring Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett and Dakota Fanning as Cherie Currie.
Distorted Magazine will be at the 100 Club show and will bring you a review of this special gig.
