Poly Styrene recording new album
John Robb (Goldbade) recently announced he has finished recording a track with Poly Styrene, formerly of punk band X-Ray Spex, for her new album.
In 2007 Poly Styrene (Marian Joan Elliott Said) was invited to the Concrete Jungle festival in Camber Sands,UK where she agreed to initiate a 30 year celebration of Xray Spex’s debut album, “Germ Free Adolescents”.
She went on to perform a live show when she fronted the reformed X-Ray Spex for a live show at London’s Roundhouse on September 6, 2008 before dueting with John Robb on a remix of Goldblades’s ‘City Of Christmas Ghosts’ the same year.
