REBELLION UK 2010
It’s just 16 weeks to the biggest punk festival in the world and one of the most popular punk weekends around the globe taking place between Thursday 5th August – Sunday 8th August this year at Rebellion Festival at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, UK.
The annual event this year sees 4 days, 6 stages and over 200 bands with Bad Religion headlining the Sunday Empress stage as part of their 30th Anniversary tour with Gallows as special guests.
Other headliners include: US legends New York Dolls are the Saturday Empress headline and Stiff Little Fingers will headline Friday Empress. The Thursday triple headline bill consists of The King Blues, Streetlight Manifesto and The Aggrolites.
Other highlights include Cockney Rejects, Slaughter & The Dogs, The Dwarves, Cro Mags, Fucked UP, 7Seconds, Discharge, GBH, Agnostic Front, Hazel O’Connor, King Kurt, The Subhumans, Department S, Star Fucking Hipsters, Penetration, Punishment of Luxury, The Defects, The Oppressed, Big D and the Kids Table and many more.
2010 see the Bizarre Bazaar stage each evening and the Saturday headline is Peter Murphy the Bauhaus singer who will perform Bauhaus & solo songs with his band. Other highlights include UK Decay, T Rex, Chas & His Band, Viv Alvertine (The Slits), The Cravats, The Glitter Band and much more.
The Punk Art exhibition makes a welcome return and there will be a full range of stall holders selling merchandise CDs, DVDs, vinyls, T-Shirts and other Clothing etc.
