The Offspring 2009 tour in the works

It has been confirmed that the O.C. rockers The Offspring will be traveling around the world in 2009, as they countinue supporting their latest album “Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace”. The band is headed to Europe next spring to bring the anticipated “Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace” tour to the masses, and will be headed up to the U.S. and Canada afterwards. All dates are to be announced for the time being.

The band has been supporting this year\’s acclaimed release “Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace” off and on. The upcoming tour will mark The Offspring\’s first full-scale outing in three and a half years as well as the band\’s first scale tour with new drummer Pete Parada (formerly of Face to Face), who joined in 2007.

To coincide with the upcoming tour, The Offspring just recently their new single “You\’re Gonna Go Far, Kid”, which has been successful on US rock radio stations, reaching the top of the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. This is the third song by The Offspring to hit #1 on that chart (the first being their signature song “Come Out And Play”, followed by “Hit That”).
