The Slackers’ Vic Ruggiero announces free solo show in London
Vic Ruggiero of The Slackers has just announced a one-off solo show in London at the end of the band’s current summer tour.
He will be play a free gig at Bar Solo in Camden, north London, on Thursday 26th August. Vic’s solo shows are well loved for their impressive mix songs from his solo albums, Slackers favourites, plus covers and surprises – delivered with a bluesy, reggae, rock’n'roll vibe and wrapped up with strange stories and New York charm.
His busy schedule of touring with The Slackers and numerous other projects, means solo shows in the UK are pretty rare, so get down to Camden if you’ve not yet had the chance to check him out minus the other Slackers!
The Slackers meantime are still storming their way across Europe with their unique brand of New York ska. They recently played at the Rebellion festival in Blackpool and a packed put show at the Jazz Cafe in London and will be hitting the road with further UK festival and headline shows in August.
The show at Bar Solo with be a double bill with The Spyders (rocknroll, surf, blues), so you will need get there early to see Vic in action.
