As it happens, Paul borrowed the name Poison Hearts from me…I was the drummer in his old band Astrozombies (a Misfits tribute), and after that band split, the singer Rusty and I started our own band, which we called the Poison Hearts (after the Dee Dee song, as we were both huge Ramones freaks). We gigged that around Leeds for a couple of years, until it collapsed under the weight of money troubles and lineup problems. After that I took my songs to my new band The Kingcrows, Rusty took his to his new project Blaggard, and the name got a new home over the sea…
