Buttsweat and Tears EP
Buttsweat and Tears
This five track EP from Chicago’s finest three piece is a great EP (perhaps my favourite of the year) and carries on from where “Oh Calcutta!” left off really. The album sleeve is typical Larry Arms humour, emphasised by Brendan Kelly’s blog for those who want to read more of what I mean. There are firsts apparently on the EP too with Chris and Brendan switching bass and guitar for ‘The Redness in the West’ but Lawrence Arms tradition is carried on with ludicrous long song names. The EP is a 10th anniversary gift to keep fans happy and fulfill earlier band dreams of a 7 inch release of the same name. Fans won’t be disappointed and newbie’s are offered a peak into the Lawrence Arms unique brand of lovable and intelligent punk rock.
Fav Tracks: The Redness In The West, The Slowest Drink At The Saddest Bar On The Snowiest Day In The Greatest City, Demons (Only on Digital Release)
