Fourteen Stories
Although the album is now a couple years old, I was introduced to and impressed by Bryans performance when he supported the Dropkick Murphys on their home-run of shows over St Patricks earlier this year. An acoustic performance in front of a baying punk rock crowd is daunting, but he succeeded in winning most over with his intense and honest show. This album is satisfyingly reminiscent of how he performed on the night; perhaps losing some of the intensity, but it’s a wonderful emotional showcase of a intelligent and honest folksy punk-rooted musician.
