The Brownies

Some elements of Be Your Own Pet mixed with perhaps the Yeah Yeah Yeahs make this Norfolk based band an intriguing pop-punk indie band. Its ballsy, danceable and drenched with sex and alcohol. Lyrically its abrasive “We drink, we eat, we talk, we fuck”, “You can be my cougar all day” but the female fronted band manage to weave between genres and maintain variety through the fast paced album with snarling hooks and bassy guitars to deliver a excellent debut.

Fav tracks: ‘Cougar, ‘Tunc Lovin’’, ‘Cry Yourself To Sleep’
