The High And Mighty

The Cut Ups
Wow. It can be a tough job working your way through a lot of records, no offense to all the bands and artists that put their hearts and souls into every track every put down, but albums like this are what you wait so patiently for. The songs, intelligently weaved and politically charged are unashamedly punk rock and melodic throughout. It’s not dancing music, but thinking music. Reminds me of a defunct band called Bear Vs Shark but their influences are still Bouncing souls and Fugazi or Snuff. There isn’t a bad song on the album, and it sets a serious tone although darkly positive too.
Fav tracks: ‘An ode to these isles’, ‘Die Lieber Zimmer Auf’, “These Bones Were Built On Rice”, “I Know It’s OK”
